Navigating the health care system can bring challenges. For people on both sides of the interaction.

Dana Ribeiro Miller has built a space to explore thoughts and feelings surrounding health, grief, loss, and trauma and related experiences and impacts. For the life that is still happening while these things are happening too. Not just for those directly impacted, but for people in their orbit, and the care providers themselves.

Health, Grief & Trauma

For anyone that has intersected with life's transitions and the complexity of emotions that can come with them.

Healthcare Professionals

For the physicians, nurses, and caregivers who give everything at work and have nothing left at home.

Couples & Family

For the relationships and families reshaped by life’s challenges.

Therapy Intensives

For focused, short-term support when you need help now, not months from now.

THERAPY & COACHING, TELEHEALTH ACROSS NY & OH

Support built around what you're actually going through

With the right frame of support, these experiences can become a part of your life rather than experiences that define your life.

GUIDANCE ON HEALTHCARE ADVOCACY

You Don't Have to Figure This Out Alone

When you're managing an ongoing health condition, yours or a loved one's, the number of decisions can feel like its own full-time job: what to ask your care team, how to talk to your kids about what's happening, how to prepare for a conversation you've never had to have before.

Guidance is coaching built specifically for that.  It's not clinical therapy, and it's not someone stepping in to advocate for you directly. It's support in thinking through the questions, the words, and the moments you're not sure how to approach on your own.

ABOUT DANA RIBEIRO MILLER, M.Div, LCSW, LISW, APHSW-C

The person behind the practice

Ms. Ribeiro Miller's path into this work grew out of years spent alongside healthcare professionals and families navigating illness and grief, and it shapes everything about how she practices today.

She holds a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and completed postgraduate fellowship training in Palliative Social Work at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She is board certified as an Advanced Palliative Hospice Social Worker.

At NYU Langone Health, she served as faculty and clinical instructor within undergraduate and graduate medical education, developing and teaching curricula in communication, psychosocial care, ethics, and reflective practice alongside medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians. That work gave her a firsthand understanding of the systems, performance pressure, and exposure to suffering that shape a career in medicine.

Her clinical style reflects that background: relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in both insight-oriented and practical approaches to care.
